water leak from a crack in the body (passenger side floor)(with photos)
 

Guys, i had a crack on passenger side body right where we lay our feet, 2 weeks ago i weld it from outside (not from inside) at the shop. But it rained hard last night and the floor was soaking, i removed all then carpets and found that the water is coming from that crack (which had black silicon from the previous owner on it), the water is coming out of it into the floor , its a mess. (see photos)

How come i weld it from outside (very well welded at the shop with black silicon on top) and rain water still comes in? From where does the water comes if the crack is sealed correctly?

Another leak is from the door rubber (see photo)

Anyone had this problem before that can help, thank you.

Obviously it wasnt sealed enough or its coming from elsewhere. Take a chisel and start chipping at some of your other rust spots. You'll probably find it.

or the cowl, or a loose gasket in the firewall, or the pass side door gasket is old and letting water in.

That much rust/rot isn't just happening from that little hole in the floor and water isn't magically shooting up and putting holes in the floor either. Gravity is bring it there. Start with the A pillar and a flashlight and find where it's coming from, run a hose over the Jeep if you have to and fix whatever it is. It's just going to get worse over time and rot the floor board out.

The water is Coming from the wipers cowl, i covered them with nylon, poured water on the windshield and fender corners (as shown in the pics) , the water went inside the cabin from that rusty rotten hole.
I removed the windshield water bottle and there is a very small hole under it down the rail which also let water come inside.


For the small hole under the windshield water bottle it can be fixed easily.
What shall i do for the cowl leak ?
What shall i do for the windshield leak ?
What shall i do for the fender leak?

I remove all of those or there is a fix for it.
