Want more lift. For less money.
-Hi guys, question for you.
I have a 3" lift on my xj right now, but I was wondering if could add another 1.5" in the front and rear. If this is possible do I have to add a SYE onto of my transfer case drop and 3 degree axle shims or will I be ok in just leaving the case drop and 3 degree shims on it and adding the inches? |

I love it when people say you need something. every jeep is different so its hard to say. I am at 5.5 in front and have stock steering setup on still(safe but could be better) I redrilled my stock trac bar location to recenter the front. Shocks i do recomend but there are ways around that as long as you dont mind limiting flex.
Oyeah i drive mine 300 miles a week when im working in town and 500+ when im out of town. does great |

well its almost a year since i posted about adding more lift. So about 3 weeks ago I did. I added 1.5 coil spacers and 1.5 shackles in the rear. I also added some 3 degree shims and TC 1" drop. So as of today i have a total of 4.5" of lift.
no problems so far. I'm going to replace my pitman are with a one from a ZJ. It should give me about an 1" of drop for the steering angle. Here are some pictures of what it looks like. First one is 3" and the second is 4.5". |
Dude that is a beautiful jeep
