Wagoneer mouldings, how to ?
I am doing a full restoration of a 1987 wagoneer. (I did open a proper topic for it in the build section).
Moulding around the wood vinyl are not well attached to the car. I didn’t find any info on the Haynes repair manual. Does someone have good advices. - what clips to buy - how to install them ? Are they just clipped (plastic) or are they bolted from the inside of the panels, so I have to dismantle doors, etc) - what vinyl to cover the mouldings. They are a bit yellow. Are they supposed to be wrapped by vinyl aswell ? thanks raphael https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...23013e61a.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...9a5df6cd0.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...60022d238.jpeg |
I can't answer that but know a place or person where you might be able to find answer.
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f46/bu...imited-151300/ Been doing this awesome, I am going to call it a, restore of what I believe to be the exact same vehicle. Betting he posted about it in his build thread. |
I did read many times this thread.
Crist is the one who boosted my motivation to start the project. The job he did is simply awesome. I also expect a beautifull result but might not go as far as he did… Crist, your knowledge will be appreciated. |
I just picked up a '90 Wagoneer Ltd just like yours and am looking forward to using your posts as a resource in my resto. Thanks!
