Default voltage drop

So my voltage gauge keeps dropping to zero while driving. But even with the brights and two fog lights on nothing tims. It even starts back up. And I got the cel checked and us said somthing about my charging system. And I tested both my battery and alterater. Both were good but that was like a week ago

It sounds like either your gauge is dying, or the feed wire for the gauge is shorting or loose. Check the wires from alternator and test the gauge.

Hell you are in Lapeer! if you have trouble figuring it out let me know. I'm in davison

I screwed up my voltmeter with mud and the alternator was fine I just let it sit overnight and returned to normal the gauge lights came on and the voltage dropped from 14 to 9. The problem is the alternator is so low to the ground.
