HVAC fan stops blowing after driving
Hello, and good day to you all. I have a 1997 XJ that has an issue with the HVAC blower.
Just starting it blows just fine both AC and heat, good and strong. However after driving (generally about an hour) a whistling noise is generated from the passenger side behind the glove compartment and the airflow is almost non-existent.
The tiny trickle of air that was flowing was correct in the temperature setting I had it on and was blowing out of the correct vents.
I realized this problem when driving from Texas to Colorado in a snowstorm and lemme tell you this no heat thing quickly became a problem. Shutting down the air for 15 minutes or so and restarting it had no effect, nor when I shut her down to fuel up.
Any advice or suggestion to fix is greatly appreciated and thank you all in advance.
