Default Vibration in the rear

Im currently running a stock suspension in a 99 XJ long overdue for replacement and when i accelerate say like on a freeway onramp my rearend seems to vibrate im wonering is it the fact that my shock and springs are completely shot or could the fact that since they are shot that the vibration could be coming from the rear diff. or the tranfercase... the reason behind not replacing the suspension is cuz im having trouble balancing saving up for a new one and the $88 it costs me a weeks for a full tank.... please tell me i have nothing to worry about and once i get my Lift Kit and other refinements i will be fine.

Sorry, not the case!! Sounds like a u-joint is going south. Get under and check for slack in either of the u-joints. If you don't feel slack it can still be bad enough to vibe at highway speeds. Is ther a chance that you hit your driveline on something, and bent it?? That would cause it too! Good luck!!

i also think it sounds like a u-joint. check the front drive shaft too it also spins when you are in two wheel drive (unless you have a aftermarket manual hub conversion)

X3 on ujoints, Check for play in both of the front and rear driveshafts. Also check your tires and make sure they have proper air in them and are balanced properly.
