Vibration at highway speeds
I have a 1999 cherokee that is stock all around. When I get up to about 65mph+, the jeep starts to vibrate. It's not a death wobble and it doesn't go away at any faster speed over 65. I went as far as replacing the track bar and a tie rod end to see if it helped and there was no change. Need help please!

Worn out u-joints or driveshaft slip yoke.

Mud caked onto the rims.
Bent rims.
Bent axle shafts.
Bust steel cords in the tire.
Tires out of balance.

I have the same kind of issue with my stock '99, only it happens from 70-75mph and goes away at around 80. My alignment seems fine, doesn't veer off if I let go of the wheel. At this point it's just noise and doesn't have any effect on steering. Also I notice a "whoosing" noise that seems to be emanating from the front driver side wheel when coasting at lower speeds. Rims aren't bent, no mud caked on them. Could this possibly be bearing-related in my case?
Going to need new tires in the front soon anyway, think I may swap the practically new rears with the old fronts to see if there's any change.

My Cherokee, which I've had only 3 days, has that same type vibration at about 65 MPH. I figured it was in the drive line. It's not steady, it sort of drifts in & out...
I'll have it up off of the floor soon to check out the U joints etc, and maybe I'll find out what it's coming from.....
I've had that vibration in years past, from loose yokes in worn trans bushings...

I had vibration at similar speeds in my XJ a few months ago. Problem turned out being a slipped belt in my passenger front tire. Caused a bulging ring all around the tread surface of the tire. Was causing my jeep to steer hard to the right too. New tires fixed it. Probably not your problem, but its worth checking the tread surface for slops or bulges.
