Default Vibration at 55mph

My truck has had a wobble/vibration around 55mph and I losing my mind trying to figure it out. The vibration is most noticeable while watching the from passenger seat and I can feel it in the steering wheel a bit as well. So far, Ive tried balancing the tires, different rims, and new tires as of today and the problem still exists. I have all new ball joints, axle u-joints, track bar, sway bar bushings, and alignment. The rear driveshaft has new u-joints and I'm pretty sure had it balanced a while back as well. The front driveshaft is out to eliminate that a a possibility. The truck also vibrates at 75 mph, especially when accelerating on upgrades. I'm not sure if they are related or two seperate issues but its getting to where I no longer enjoy driving this thing. Any suggestions on what to check next would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I really don't know what to tell you, but when you figure it out, let us know. My 2000 WJ is doing the exact same thing with all new parts. I even moved the tires and rims to the rear from the front and it didn't make any difference. My vibration starts at 65 though. The only thing I haven't changed is the wheel hubs, but they show no looseness at all. All 4 CV joints up front are fine too. I even replaced the CA bushings.

Yeah I replaced the hubs when I did the axle u-joints. The only thing I haven't done is the control arms. Not sure if they'd cause this type of vibration however??

My upper CA bushing were shot, but putting new ones in really didn't help.

What's your driveshaft/pinion angle?

How are the rear wheel bearings?

Bearings seem to be good. Its stock, but the new leaf springs seem to have raised it just a bit. Not sure of the angles, I'll have to check.

Is it lifted or stock height? I know this is under stock forum but wanted to make sure.

Steering stabilizer? From what I heard some vehicles don't vibrate without the stabilizer in place, and one masks the problem rather cause it, but worth looking into it.

Beyond that, how's your steering gear? Much slop in it?

Not to insult you, but did you put the tranny mounts and engine mounts in and then let them settle before tightening them down?

Had the exact same problem, and at the exact same speed. Told my tire guy about it and he brought me out back to show me one rim. It varied out by 1/16". I looked at him and said, "really, 1/16?". He was so sure that he said he would mount the tire on a new rim and let me return it if it wasn't the problem. Vibration gone.

Definitely worth considering the tires. I had a bad tire lead me on a wild goose chase on a 55+ vibe years ago myself.

An easy check to do (before spending a bunch of money) is to just swap around the tires (aka tire rotation) and see if the vibe shifts on you. If it does, then you at least have narrowed it down to tire-related. A reputable tire shop can then help you with figuring out if it's as simple as a balance issue or if you have a bad tire or rim/wheel.

I also have a 55MPH vibration, which has been immune to various fixes.

noticed an odd thing...the LCA bolts have elongated rear mounts holes, and they are in slightly different postions.

I intend the back them off a bit, drive around the block, a tighten them back up...stab in the dark I know

have heard the XJ has a different wheelbase length left to right ?
