Very High Idle

I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2wd with the 4.0 inline 6 engine. Last week we had replaced the exhaust/intake gasket. After we put it back together we started it and it was at full throttle right from the time we turned the key. A guy at autozone told me it was most likely a vacuum leak from the brake booster but I don't really trust anything those guys tell me. Has anyone else experienced this. We made sure the IAC was clean and the MAP sensor is good. The butterfly valve in the throttle body is not open and the fuel rail is purged and the injectors are set correctly any ideas.

Intake manifold not seated properly over guide pins happens a lot. Guy from auto zone is have right major vacuum leak will cause this.

I believe that is the problem I took the intake manifold off and the dowels that were suppose to go into the holes weren't going in the guy I had helping me had had the bright idea of trying to take shortcuts and it lead to the holes to get some metal moved up to where the hole was smaller I took a knife and ran it around the hole and it fit then just have to get it back together once the rain lets up and keep my fingers crossed and hope this works which I'm almost certain it will thanks again

Those kind of shortcuts usually lead to long detours down roads you don't want to travel.

Some of us learn that the hard way. ;)
