Default valve cover issue....

ok. just took a look at my valve cover and everysingle bolt on it was loose. i could un do almost all of them with bare hands. and in parts it looks as though the gasket is shot. but the question i have is could that be the slow oil leak i have? and will the 8 dollar cork gasket do alright for a fix? AND.. what is the best way to paint a valve cover.. ( lime green )

Best way to paint it is to clean it ridiculously well, then use a good quality primer before the lime green
I've used both duplicolor engine paint and rustoleum engine paint, I've personally had better results with rustoleum

what about the perma dry gasket by felpro? does that one need any extra sealant like the cork one? or is it worth the extra $40

Dont run pennzoil. Valvoline or Rotella is good stuff and has the right amount of zinc for our engines.

Should be able to get it there.. Any of their oils will be good..
I emailed Pennzoil about using their oil in our engines, they said there is not enough ZDDP (zinc) and recommended Rotella. Valvoline said their oil is fine.
