Vacuum Line Set?
Does anyone know of a company that sells a complete vacuum line set for an 88 4.0?
|
napa sell themhttp://www.comancheclub.com/forums/v...hp?f=2&t=29751
|
just replace em with regular vacuum lines, a lot less cluster****y than that OEM hose set up and cheaper.
|
LOL, I ripped most the vacuum crap and smog off mine today. Most of its trash anyhow. Unless you live in a smog compliant state. I dont.
|
if you remove vacuum lines your going to have serious leaks and issues.
to the OP running basic vacuum line in place of these overpriced brittle plastic lines will not effect you emissions, seeing as your stuck in california |

don't go and buy that vacuum harness, just trace out where the lines go and take the time to cut proper lengths it will clean up under the hood and and that stupid little box where the two halves meet is just going to break again and since you are in CA like me as long as things are hooked up and working it all good.

My YJ has almost no vac lines anymore. They were causing too many problems.

I had to reroute all my vacuum lines when swapping to the 99+ intake manifold. Pepboys sells vacuum lines by the foot in about 6 different gauges in the parts department. Real cheap.

Doubt that. Less vacuum lines, less leaks. All I removed was the smog stuff and AC. Im a mechanic, this aint the my first rodeo. I know what to remove and not to and what to plug off.
|
Hahaha  Okay, then do you guys think that I should go with the pepboys idea?

Dorman offers the whole set up in 2 pcs [Front & Rear] available at any local parts store for about 30.00 for both sections. Check online at Rock Auto. Dorman Pt#46004 and Pt#46003

yes, just cut your own lines the original lines are a bad design and not worth the money
