I have a vacuum line for the cruise control comes out of the back of the intake manifold and runs with the evap lines then ts off by the heater box well in this t one line comes out but is broke off and i have no idea where it goes!?!?

The problem is though i have no idea where is goes! I now know what it is and its the vacuum to the hvac select mode coming off the hvac check valve.can someone tell me where theres goes to please

There should be a small black stub tube (other half of the broken tube in your pic) that goes into the firewall, then to a quick disconnect behind the glove box, then to the mode selector on the climate control panel.


See if the stub is there. If it is and there's enough left, use a rubber hose to connect the two tubes (see pic in my link).


If there's only a small piece sticking out, see if you can grab it with needle nose pliers and pull it out enough to fit the rubber hose.


Your XJ may not have the check valve, as shown in my pic.
