Default Vacuum hoses on transfer case

I was replacing my speedo cable this morning and noticed there were 4 little vacuum hoses right next to it on the transfer case. Its an np231. Any idea what they do. They arent hooked up looks like they have pulled loose.

Depending on the year of your ride, they engage or disengage your front axle.

....and they turn on your 4WD indicator light on your dash. If they aren't hooked up, and you have a vac-disconnet front axle, you don't have 4WD.

No particular order. Just plug them back in and make sure they are pluged in at the axle as well.

Bumping old thread, just bought non runner. What do I do if the lines are cut?

*****I just found some sprinkler dripper line that will work for vacuum line and actually be 10x more durable.

I will post photos as soon as I throw my new clutch and transmission back up. Just need to find a vacuum diagram now. Should be cake.
