Default vacume hose i think

Not sure where this line should go or what its for Oh yeah its on a 87 XJ and coming from the fire wall right under the radiator over flow tank

You need pics but it sounds like your seeing the hose for your air. does it bend down and a decent size hose?

vacuum line, does your heat only work on "defrost" no matter what setting you put it on?

Thats what it looks like to me, I guess youll know when your rebuild is done. Ill look at mine later though and post what I find.

actually i think thats the line that goes to your coolent/water switch, there is a switch so to speak on your heater core hoses that lets coolent go into your heater core when you turn the heater on.
