Umm Fuel Pump ?????

Engine: 6 Cly 4.0 HO
K so its been a couple of days now and my jeep when starting it it will take alot longer to fire usualy two cranks and its going but now its 5 to 10 cranks, today i took of the cap on the fuel rail and pushed the bottom and no fuel cam out then i turned the ke on acessorie and let sit for a bit and push the fuel rail buttom again and then feul cam out
i thiught there was saposse to be presure all the time so is this a sign that the fuel pump is going or what
side note,( i tested the battery its good and starter is new and the distibuter cap is free of debris and clean

sounds like the diaphram in the fuel pump is bleeding pressure off.
try cycling key to run a couple times before starting.
if it fires rite up after cycling key then itd time to replace
the fuel pump module in tank. good luck.
