Arrow U-Joint?!?!?!

Alright after wheeling the other day the jeep started this clunk noise in the front....It sounds like it's coming from the driver's side but im not 100% sure yet the u-joint's look fine but they also look like they have never been changed......I'd figure i'd start there since it's a cheap part and i most likely need to change them sooner or later even if it wasnt the problem.......Any thought's on what it could be im sure all of us have been thru this where there jeep's as well....

Thank's......

check your calipers and make sure the bolts are tight and also check your wheel bearings and if those are ok probably a u joint

I'd check the front driveshaft also. That is on the left side of the centerline. Also check the cardan joint in the front driveshaft. How many miles are on it? How did you check the u-joints? Did you stick a long screwdriver or pry bar in there and really put some pressure on them. You may also want to jack it up, put it in neutral and spin the front wheels by hand. You may find the sound that way.
If the u-joints are really bad they should really click when you make a hard turn. Worse than the normal wheel hop you get.
Good luck.

you might want to check the motor mount on the passenger side. My jeep started clunking after wheeling one day because the bolts in the mount came loose. then one day they just sheered off.

Also if your cherokee feels like it clunks in to gear or does it when your breaking check the back driveshaft u joints.

I'm guessing you only replaced one U-joint? I'd suggest replacing them all at once.
