Default two minor electrical problems

I took my dash apart earlier this week, and after I put it back together two things were different.
1) my windshield wipers work, but only on the lo/hi settings, all the adjustable timed settings below don't work anymore.
2) my dome light is permanently on, I had to take the bulb out to keep from killing my battery. The door buttons seem to be making good contact too, so I don't think that is the problem.

Both problems started right after I put my dash back together, and I've never had trouble with these problems before. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dan

Check the headlight switch. It can be rotated to turn on the dome light.

Yes, that was the first thing I checked. It is in the off position.

Not off, but twisted to the dome light position. This would be an easy thing to overlook.

I know what you mean, believe me that isn't the issue. I use that twist thing to turn on my dome light all the time, trust me, that isn't the issue.

dash wiring often gets grounded out when the dash is put back together. wires can become pinched when everything is tightened down. Your best bet is to take the dash apart again and check for any problems. I try to check that everything works as i hook it up to avoid problems.
