Hi newbie on sight but have owned my 98 xj from its birth. When i put on my left turn signal i hear a buzzing noise and get no signal light up,if i turn it off try it again it works. It does this from time to time ,i have heard it can be a module,a flasher,a fuse pleae help and let me know where the part it to be replaced thanks any help

 

My 99 was doing the same thing. There is a relay under the driver side dash. I ran the hazards so I could find it by the noise. I changed it and havent had a problem since.

Its pretty easy to find. I had to take the plastic panel under the steering wheel off to get at it.

 

One thing I forgot to mention-mine relay was held in place by some stuborn foam tape that looked like it came from the factory. I had to run a razor blade around it to break the tape. That stuff was tough.
