turn down pipe?
would i be fine with putting a turn down pipe on after my muffler?
yes...it will actually sound better in my opinion, the only way i have run all 3 Cherokee's i own
will fumes get inside the cab?
Over a year and a half running a turn down. Only time I had fumes in the cab was before I fixed the large hole in the floor above the muffler. :tongue_smilie:

Never ever ever ever ever ever do this... good grief people... use your heads....The exhaust MUST RUN PAST THE CAB containing passangers or you risk CO2 poison... yes yes you can die doing this... so picture this.. its winter.. you go out on trail break down.. decide to crank up jeep and run heater a few hrs to keep you warm till daylight.... YOU WILL NEVER WAKE UP.... Your jeep would have to be 100% air tight under it... and i know 90% of the jeeps have rust on floor... just a little hole and the fumes will creap inside....And in most states its against the law to do this....JUST beacause of co2 poisioning.....put a 90 on it and run out the side infront of wheel.. but do not put a turn down right on muffler and think you are going to be safe...

Ran a turndown on our XJ.....no issues. Then the kiddo thought it would be cool to run a side exit.....which is quieter.

I dont see how its any different then sitting in stop and go traffic for hours. Side Note: Carbon Monoxide (CO) not Carbon Dioxide (Co2). |

If you're gonna install turn down pipe properly then I think your good with it...
