Default TURBOCHARGER

I have a 90 XJ with a 4.0/auto. i aquired a turbo and am considering fabricating an exhaust collector and intake tubes to mount it on my rig, do you guys know if the engine will handle the boost and will the fuel system be able to keep up?

new JP mag covers a turbo kit for a 2.5l. They are putting out about 7psi of boost in that engine for about a 50 hp increase.

the turbo i have will put out nealy 20psi. i'm pretty sure the crank will hold but i'm not surre if the injectors will be able to handle the extra air flow.

Im not completely sure what all this electrical stuff means.. (I have the magazine in front of me) Something about setting the correct fuel mapping. Remember you would have to bug your oil pan to get engine oil for cooling the turbo. Check out 505performance.com. they build the turbo kit for the 4.0s and the 2.5s. They include new injectors with the kit- does not say what size.

i replaced the injectors with a set from a 96. not sure what the difference is but they made a serious improvement. also my exhaust is free flowing with almost no back pressure.

the lube oil would be tee'ed in at the filter base and returned to the pan. thats stuff should be easy enough.

dude.... Stock injectors no matter what year arent going to cut guess you dont know much about forced induction... When forcing more air in you need alot more fuel sometimes even having to change fuel pump lines rails etc. You will also have to have it tuned so there is the correct air fuel ratio and your not leaning it out or running it fat....

you're gonna need 36psi injectors probably.. and you'll need a VAFC ideally. otherwise youll be running lean in boost or rich out of boost... that being said youll just be lean if you leave the MAP sensor alone.
