Default Trying to keep it dry

The inside of my ride smells of an engine compartment, since the day I had bought it. I have tried cleaning the cargo area carpet a few times, and it seemed to help some, but not much. This weekend, I decided to pull out the carpet and give it a good cleaning. I managed to get it fairly clean but it does still have that greasy grimy smell to it. I have noticed over time that the carpet felt damp sometimes. When, I pulled the carpet, I noticed that the pinch seem on the passenger side was pretty rusted. Before I put the carpet back in, I would like to tackle the leak, so I don't have to worry about moldy-mildewy carpet. I tried to at least redirect the leak, so that the water goes straight down in to the quarter panel and drains from there, but didn't have much luck.

Is it a relatively simple (easy) task to pull out the quarter window, reseal it and reinstall?

What's wrong with a cabin that smells like an engine bay?

Hell, I carry around open cans of gear oil, tranny fluid, and anti-freeze in the cargo bay so I can enjoy the smells.

Don't get me wrong, I love the smell. I have a baby coming within the next few weeks and want to try and make it a safe environment, for her.
