Default Trouble starting after warming up

I have a 4.0L 97' XJ sport, 5-spd. I have no problem starting it in the morning. Lately it has been giving me trouble trying to start back up after it has been running for a bit. It cranks just fine, but I have to give it some gas to get it to fire and I have to hold it a little bit until it smooths out. If I immediately let off the gas dies. I usually have to back the rpm down gradually. Today after I had it running for a couple minutes, it died while I was approaching a stop sign, I pushed the clutch in and the rpm dropped then it stalled. The rpm has a habit of dropping a little to low for my comfort but it usually recovers. I tried starting it back up and it was acting and smelling like it was flooded. After a few attempts I got it running and had to smooth it out again just like I had mentioned before.

Thoughts? Thanks!

Have you verified the TPS yet?
Also your TB... and physically check the tension in the throttle linkage. Make sure it's correct and not too much slack in it.
