Trouble starting a '97 Jeep Cherokee Sport
Hi everybody, I have a '97 Jeep Cherokee Sport with just over 200,000 miles on it. I had trouble starting the Jeep a couple of months ago, I had to step on the gas hard while I was turning the ignition in order for the engine to start. This happened on and off for a few days in a row, sometimes it would start normally. So I put a complete fuel system cleaner in the gas and didn't have any problems starting until today. The same thing happened as before, having to step on the gas in order to start the Jeep. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I should do to prevent this from happening anymore? Thank you in advance.

you need to test the fuel pressure. could be plugged filter or dieing pump. Could be dirty leaky injectors, could be dirty throtle body. When was the last time you did a complete tune-up.
