Trouble after changing sprak plugs
I changed my plugs after work tonight. they needed it the electrodes were almost gone. when I got the old plus out there was something on the ends the the coil goes to. Im thinking its Di-electric? My check engine light is on and flashing now. I look at the car running and I can see sparks comin out from the plug boot. Im thinkin I need to put di-electric on the new plugs, but would that cause the check engine light too? Its running rough too. Im wondering if the old Di-electric is causing problems?

You ripped off the the piece inside of the wire. just replace your wires. I always do do new wires with new plugs at the same time.

Remove the red locking tab, then press on the bayonet tab to release the plug from the connector. I don't bother with it just unbolt the coil pack carefully remove it from the spark plugs and place it out of the way. Add a small amount of dielectric grease to the inside of each plug boot when you reinstall.

I would also like to know the answer to the last post.. a dab of Di-electric in the boot or on the tip of the top of the spark plug?
Also: if you just pull off the coil pack and leave it connected to the connector, is there enough wireing loom to move it out of the way while still connected?

I had mine both arc and the di-electric kill the signal and cause misfires.

You might want to pull the new plugs and make sure the ceramic isn't cracked on the ones that are arcing. That'll cause arcing and rough running too. If there is a crack it might be so small that you can barely see it. Take some black grease and smear it around the ceramic and wipe it off. It'll stain any cracks and make them easier to see.

And don't use BOSCH plugs. There are more than a few threads of people using BOSCH that have had instant misfires, which went away when Champions were installed. Or for the 00-01, NGK is a good plug too.

I cleaned the di-electric from where it shouldnt be, was actually on the springs comin from the coil. Got it where it needed to be and its been running great since. Think I used autolite plugs, I really dont remember.
