Hey guys, not really sure on this one like many other things car related.

I don't know the last time the transmission fluid has been changed on my Cherokee. I checked the dipstick and it looks kinda brown instead of red. As far as I know that means it needs to be changed correct?

Also, you're supposed not flush it correct? Just drain and fill until the correct color is achieved.

I would like a good write up if one exists, and some good answers so I don't keep having to asking questions too please.

My father is gone for a while, and that means I won't have any mechanics around, so if I mess anything up I'm literally screwed.
