Transmission Stuck
 

Hey, All. I was driving today in moderate-heavy rain and my '99 Cherokee seemed to be stuck in 1st/2nd gear. The RPM's were high and it did not want to shift. Prior to this, my Cherokee was running great with no problems at all. Please tell me I have a bad sensor and not a bad transmission. Thank you.

Have you checked the transmission fluid?

Make sure you check ur fluid level, could either be a bad tps or possibly a bad shift solenoid. I would go to an autopart store and ask if they can give you a free OBD test, and start from there. My guess is it's a bad shift solenoid. Not to bad to replace but you will have to drop the pan.
