Transmission - Reverse Problems

1 Attachment(s)
Good Afternoon,

I have a 2000 XJ 4WD, Right Hand Drive Model, that is now having some real problems reversing. On flat/level surfaces the idle or light throttle still allow you to reverse. Trying to reverse up a hill, gods speed! You'd have to put in 4-Low and feel the XJ whining and lurching back.

Some background, there was a DTC for P743 - Torque Clutch Convertor. Just seeing if anyone has had the same symptoms. Just had the transmission filter and fluid service performed because I'm not too handy with transmissions, so I'm at a loss or ready to learn. When they did the transmission service and dropped the pan it was metal debris free. Thanks to anyone who might know whats going on!

Hopefully they just knocked loose a connector or didn't fill it up all the way, that's where i would start. Check out this thread....
