Quick Survey
I have a leaking transmission line on my 96 Cherokee Classic. It is weeping at the junction with the rubber section of hose and has the quick disconnect going to the top of the radiator. I have a after market replacement on the work bench, but I am having a problem getting the quick disconnect undone. It is the one with the yellow plastic insert and I am still having no luck even with a cheap Harbor Freight tool. I have gone through threads posted on this forum and seems like I am not the Lone Ranger here. I was wondering how many members have had enough of the quick disconnect PITA problem and just ran good transmission hose with clamps to rectify the problem. If you did how has the repair held up for you.

I removed mine and just use clamps, and from looking at the ones in the jy I think most have, the only issue I have had is it leakes at times but just need to reclamp it.

I've had good luck in the past with repairing hardlines with rubber line and clamps. I always flare the hardline, less chance of leaks/rubber line coming off of hardline. You can pick up an inexpensive flair kit at Harbour freight.
