Default Transmission feels like it is slipping ever since I changed the Heater Core

I replaced the heater core yesterday. I started the engine and everything seemed fine until I took it for the test drive. While the engine temp remained low, BUT the transmission seems to sip while in D, but operates fine in manual 1-2 and 3.

I tried the following things, but no help:
1) disconnected the Batt and connected the Pos and Neg leads together for 15 mins.
2) undid all driver side wiring harness and applied the some WD-40 on the pins and reconnected them;

3) placed the Jeep in Neutral and pushed it with ease to eliminate a brake caliper seizing. It rolled easily

4) checked all the fuses in the engine compartment fuse box.

After these tests, everything remained he same.

Please help,

Jonathan

Unfortunately the Transmission is still slipping. Does anyone have any other ideas?

There transmission has absolutely nothing to do with the heater core. Retrace your work to make sure you did not accidentally disconnected a connector or forgot any of the hoses, etc.
Check the fluid first. Coincidents happen more often as the miles pile on...

I recently came across a radiator that leaked between transmission fluid channels and coolant channels, causing them to mix and recirculate in each others systems.

Yup, on pre-97 models the TCU is under the glove box. As stated before check all of you connections, you also have an in line fuse in that area.

Where is the TCM located on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport?

Freegdr - You are right on the money. I found the TCM connection and reseated it. Shifting like a charm. In fact it is even better than before thanks to Muaddib420's reco.

Thanks all for you help!
