Transmission Cooler Install
Howdy. Was getting ready to install a transmission cooler in my 2001 Cherokee, and looking at these mounting rods it came with I can't for the life of me figure out how they're supposed to fit through the AC condenser. Should I figure out a different mounting method, or push the rods through? It looks like it will bend the fins a fair amount. Thanks in advance.

Those push-thru plastic rods rest on the coolant tubes, not the fins, and yes pushing them thru will destroy a few fins but not enough to matter. The problem with mounting a cooler directly on/next to the condenser or radiator is if the cooler should ever become slightly loose with day-2-day driving, it can rub a pinhole in the condenser or radiator. We mounted ours using the 2 grille supports thus spacing it away from the condenser.

Your setup looks pretty similar to what I was thinking of doing. Thanks for the response.

Can i ask roughly how much that cost you?

About $60 2 years ago. (B&M #70264 at Summit or Jegs, forgot which place, I buy way too much stuff from both)
