transfer case shifter
 

I have a 2001 cherokee sport, my shifter for my transfer case is very stiff and most of the time will not go into 4 wheel drive. at times , the tcase makes a load gear noise when trying to shift? when I do get it in , going down the road the tcase is very noisey.

I would recconmend not using it untill you change fluids sounds like it need a new set of fluids

Have you even checked that it has fluid? It takes Dextron III ATF fluid BTW.
