It's a 10mm Allen head. You need an Allen wrench or socket,
No offense but Google is perfect for questions like this.

But this is a Jeep forum.

And I think that any time someone asks for help SERVICING something or doing MAINTENANCE, they should be encouraged.

Little tip before you drain. Take the fill plug out first. Just to make sure. It would suck to get the drain plug out and not be able to remove the fill plug for some weird reason.

Thanks everyone. We're all good here. I was able to find a youtube video that answered all my questions.

I'm not discouraging him, it's just I had forgot the Allen size and it took me 30 secs on Google. I was not calling him out or anything, just pointing out there is other resources.

cbs_24,

You may want to consider replacing those internal wrenching drain/refill plugs with external wrenching plugs from NAPA (pic below).

Here's the stuff I used initially, and thereafter. The 10mm hex bit socket on the breaker bar was used to remove the internal wrenching plugs and the box end 19mm was used to secure the external wrenching plugs, and thereafter to R&R them.

That pump in the pic is a must have/use in my book. Available at most auto parts stores.

Your choice of ATF to be used. Recommend whatever you are using in your transmission - DexronIII/Mercon of course

Am considering what CCKen said about the bolts when I do my TC fluid swap this spring. Like your little pump set. I use the top that comes on gear oil bottles to squeeze fluid in there. My Napa has a butt load of them that are supposed to be given to people who buy quarts of hydraulic plow oil. Nobody ever grabs them. They work too.

Thanks for the tips, but I did it this afternoon. I wish I saw your post sooner. I ended up using the hex socket on a 3/8 ratchet. It did the job.

I got one pretty similar to that one from harbor freight for like $8. It filled it very fast.
