Transfer case main shaft
I was replacing the main output seal on my transfer case and noticed the main shaft was alot closer to one side than it was to the other so i took the case apart and took the shaft out and well it is bent, i need to replace it but i dont know much about what i need to get at all. i have a 1989 Jeep Cherokee 4WD 4.0L 6cyl, the circular tag on the case says 231 AMC, 272 ratio. Please help, i need to get my jeep back on the road. if anymore info is needed i'll add it just tell me.

here is the exploded diagram of the case

im gonna take a guess that that shaft costs half or two thirds what a whole trans case costs in a junk yard
you have an np.231 transfer case most cherokees use it, many years

Look on ebay. There's a seller there that peddles used TC parts.
Edit: If your main shaft is bent there's probably other damage inside. Be prepared to rebuild the thing. $175 for a used one may be cheaper ion the long run.
