Transfer Case lowering
Hi, I have a cherokee xj that I want to just put a 2 inch spacer lift kit on, and I am wondering if I will need to lower the Transfer case at all. I recently used a set of air shocks in the back to hold the back end up while pulling a trailer and afterwards didnt let the air out right away, so the back end sat up about an inch and a half higher than normal and I could hear some noise underneith by the transfer case. I lowered it back down and it is normal now. So if I lift the jeep 2 inches I want to make sure I am doing everything I need to.
Thanks,
Nate
Thanks,
Nate

Where did you get the air shocks? The lowering kit is just a temporary fix, but you shouldn't need it for a 2". I've got a 3" and no SYE or lowering kit and I don't notice any vibes. I have an older XJ though, I hear the newer ones vibrate on lifts.

The air shocks were just from napa. I needed something since I was pulling a trailer from chicago up to duluth and the back was sagging pretty bad. I am a college kid and dont have alot of money so I dont want to go put a lift on the jeep if I am going to run into trouble later. Ya know.
