Transfer Case Indicator Switch Question
What are the " internals " for the screw in Indicator Switch that is located on the top of the alum case on the NP231 and NV242 ?
Do those switchs which turn on the dash light/s work off of the lube oil pressure in the T.C. Case?
Are the female threads into which the switch mounts the same size in both the NP231 and the NV242 ? In other words, will the switch for the NP231 fit into the NV242 Case ?
Yes, I know that the 231 switch has 2 wires feed, while the 242 has 3 wire feed.
Of course, you already know that the 231 plug will not PROPERLY fit into the 242 switch. It will not seal the 242 switch against oil/dirt contamination.
