Trans stuck in OD after full throttle
So bought my first jeep today. Guy said it needed a new tv cable seems fine to me I'm a pretty competent mechanic. Drives fine till u floor it, downshifts like it should but as soon as it shifts back to overdrive it's stuck there. Any ideas??

Maybe no one can. Maybe the guy you bought it from was shooting you straight and had already poked his noggin around. Have you lubed the cable and checked to see if the motion of it is smooth? Maybe it's frayed and hangs up? Maybe it's routed incorrectly? Maybe something is malfunctioning with the linkage and it's binding? Maybe, since you're a competent mechanic, you oughtta start pokin' your noggin and not rely on it "seeming" ok since something clearly isn't? Start simple.

P0715 is for the Input Speed Sensor on the transmission. Im not much help here as i dont have any test procedures for it. All i can say is check the connector for corrosion, or oil etc. if your XJ leaks alot. And that the wiring isnt damaged.
