Default Trans problem

1988 xj 4.0 5speed. i think ax15. put in new master cylinder and clutch kit. i bleed the line and have good pedel, go for a drive and loose the clutch. im not loosing fluid. bleed again, and same thing. could it be air? i put a gallon of fluid through it so far. whats goin on?

gotta add. when i got the clutch kit the straps where popped on the slave cyl. the install went fine. could that be an issue?

All the slave cylinders i'v done, they tell you explicitly not to cut the straps.. pumping/bleeding will break them.

I'm thinking either the slave is damaged or you have a ton of air.. that may not bleed out.

any idea what happens to it when straps come off? could it be the fluid in the gear box. it is milk.

I changed the gear oil in the gear box and it shift nicer, after 5 miles or so i will come to a stop and the clutch will not totally disengauge. you can hold the brake and you wont move, let off the brake and you will creep. im not loosin fluid. could it be the master? is there a way to test? like i said, when its cold everything works normal... something else, when i bleed it the fluid is very hot, not boilin, but hot. is that normal?
