ok so heres my issue. i was a stop light when i noticed my check engine light came on, and when it went green, i had no power whatsoever until i moved the trans into 1-2. then as i would go and move the selector to 3 and then to drive it would go onto overdrive and then would shift down, but not to the last gear. i ran the codes and i have a p0700, p0705 and a p0758.

Neutral safety switch is kaput = remove, clean it, re-install & see what happens.

i would say it is. just got to thinking, it won't start in neutral. i actually tried it today, but i dont see why it would cause it to stick in 3/od. i never took an automatic transmissions class in school, so sorry if i'm coming off stupid. i have the basic understanding that its to allow it to start if in park or neutral but thats about it.

It's a range switch too (P,R,N,OD,3,1-2), you'll see when you tear in to it.
