what kind of automatic trans would be in a 96 cherokee, i cant anywhere were it says what it would have. cuz i neeed a new touqe converter, can anybody help?

would it just be better to put a stick in instead of worring about the toruqe converter? and how hard would it be to do? are there any differance with wiring?

big difference in a manual and an automatics wiring. you would have to swap out the ecm for sure, maybe the haarnesses too, obviously swap in everything required to stick a manual trans in. a buddy of mine did it to his 01.

i have the aw4, i just need a tourqe converter, but i cant find anything. is there any other auto trans that would work and is better then the aw4.
and dose anyone what would cause the vehical to shake? at 30mph it vibrates like the exhaust is rubbing, then right around 50 the thing shakes like theres a bulg in one of the tires. but all the rims and tires are brand new, it feels like its coming from the trans or the transfercase, has anybody had this problem to?
