Exclamation Tranny mount is waaaaaayy off!

I just installed the Rough Country 6.5 long arm kit. My xj has a 5spd. Didint think it mattered because they never asked. My dilema is I can't bolt up my tranny mount because it's off about 5 inches . The new cross member is bolted were its sapposed to be. I'm thinking about fabbing up something. My question is anyone ever run into this problem? Till I get a open lift in the shop for now a block of wood is doing the jop. other than that issue. after alighning everything it drives great.

I know the say it only works with a 231 and not the 242. Maybe it only works with autos as well. I'd give them a call.

I'm just gonna fab up something. oh well it's not that big of a deal. I guess nobody else ran into this before. on a straight forward installation.

The standard tranny is shorter than the auto, so yes you will have to do something. The stock configuration on some models like the early ones had a plate that went forward to the tranny from the cross member rubber mount. Just do that.

That explains the extra predrilled and threaded holes' I found in the frame That I had to use for the new cross member. Cool thanks.
