On your t-case shift lever, what are the "options"? does it have "full-time"?

There may be an ID tag on the transfer case itself. But that is the easiest way to identify them. There is a NP231 and NP242 offered on the XJ, only difference is the 242 has full time.

With the 2HI, 4HI, N 4LO, shift pattern, you definitely have the NP231 transfer case.

i bought the Rusty’s off Road 4.5 XJ Spring Pack Kit with 32-11.50-15 BFG KM Mud terrain on 15x8 Allied Black Daytona Wheels. i will post the pics when i get done. i ground shipped it all so it will probably take about 2-3 weeks. i got all that as a package from rusty's. if you add everything up you save an adverage of 500 bucks buying that package.

any advice on installing the lift would help. because once i get started i will not have a vehicle to run and get extra parts.
TIA

deff make sure and use the propper size line wrench when working with those brake lines, really easy to strip the nut

The transfer case makes no difference in the lift at all. The only reason Rusty's asked that question is so that they can keep your vehicle info on file. That way if you call to order additional parts that are specific to each transfer case, the info is on screen and readily available. The only part that would be different are the rear u-bolts for the leaf springs depending on what axle you have. The Dana 35 and the Chrysler 8.25 have different size axle tubes.
