Trailer Hitch Question
 

Short story. I picked up a hitch from someone local on craigslist talked to him a few about his lift and the bumper he was building, Then I asked him if he comes to this forum and he knew wright away what forum i was talking about! Cool Kid! :thumbup1:

On to my question. I did not get any mounting hardware for the trailer hitch.
I tried doing some searches to see if anyone offers just the mounting kit for the hitch and all I get is " we have a parts book you can look at" so I guess ill have to go look.

I was looking at the back of my frame were the hitch mounts and it appears that the shackle mount takes up half of the frame. I will post pictures later tonight or tomorrow if you are not sure what im talking about.

Is that normal for the trailer hitch to mount uneven on the frame rail because of the shackle mount?

All of the tow hitches I've seen have been "even" on both sides, mounting to the frame just behind the bumper.

If my laptop decides to work for me tonight I'll take a look at mine and post up some pics or something.
