Default To trade or not to trade?

Right now I'm running rc long arms with about 5 inches of lift. I clear my Goodyear duratracs 33x12.50 no problem. But a buddy has a set of 35 x12.50 baja claws with 2 of them brand new 2 less than 30. He wants to do a flat trade. But all the work I would have to do to run those doesn't seem very worth it. Anybody who is running 35s what lift and how much trimming have you done.

I've got 2 more inches I can add but don't want to get to high

you should be fine at your current height otherwise just small amounts of cutting. also it depends on what your gear ratio is now and if you need to regear. which should be to much if you do it yourself

If its a dd i would stay with the duratracs. I've heard the claws aren't the best road tire.

i used to have them in the 35" flavor they were alright but it didnt help that i was on stock gears. the road noise might be much higher, i dont mind it since my xj is already really loud with exhuast and m/t tires on it.

Well I think I am going to stick with duratracs as much as I want to go to 35s it's just to much of a hassle. Cause I also wouldn't be able to fit under carport to get to shop. And I don't want to regear. Thanks for the input
