Just curious; has anyone ever put tractor tires on an XJ?

Tractor tires have crappy traction, why would you want them

are you mudding??? thats the only reason i would put tractor tires on a jeep. and if they were free, and i never drove it on the street. i would never put them on a jeep.

If tractor tires suck so bad how come they always use them in the mud drags?? The rigs with tractor tires usually come out the winners.

When are you driving your tractor through a mud bog? Never. Im referring to everything besides mud. That would be a waste of money.

I live on a 157 acre hay farm, and own 7 tractors, think I know a bit about them.

Most of the rigs that use tractor tires are purpose built mud trucks, and the reason they go to tractor tires is because they are running 50 inch plus tires so they go with used tractor tires because they are cheaper than 54 inch boggers. I know some guys run the tractor tires in 35 inch and below classes in the mud races, but again purpose built mud trucks, and the guys with Boggers do just as well.

Not to mention the tractor tires that woul fit an Xj would be slim, youd sink.

Tractor tires are made of a much harder compound.

Also, unless he has done major engine mods he will not spin them in any serious mud, but it looks serious.
