Which track bar?

I am either going to get the rough country adjustable front track bar or ironrocks double shear track bar. Is there any difference between the two besides the price? ironrocks is about 60 bucks more. plan on ordering tonight so a fast response would be appreciated

Thanks,
Zach

screw both go RE with the bracket, brace, and track bar. they are also cheap to rebuild.

Or check out one of our forum vendors....Ironman4x4fab. His track bar is total beef, converts to double-shear, and is priced right in the middle of the RC and RE.

it says that it requires a pitman arm drop. is this true?

RENIXBEAST Oct 25, 2010 06:10 PM

The track bar and pitman arm should be the same height so technically if you drop the track bar you should drop the pitman arm also. I run the RE track bar and haven't had one issue yet after 3 yrs. of hard abuse. I'm a firm believer of, You get what you pay for.

RockKrawler. 200$ with a bracket, you wont break it and if you do they give you a new one, no questions asked. It is 1" 0.25 wall tube with the threads for the joint direct tapped. It also doesnt have a dropped bracket meaning you dont need to screw with the pitman, but that is sort of a myth anyways, unless it is a significant drop that small of a change isn't going to mess anything up.

And another plus, it uses a regular old 3/4" heim instead of some fancy *** joint.

I am also a firm beleiver in the getting what you pay for, never cheap out and buy crap.

Go with Rusty's. He makes quality stuff and prices aren't too bad compared to others, and its bullet proof

Not trying to put you down or anything.

But...

The Rusty's trackbar is the worst on the entire market. They break all the time. The threads for the rod end are a welded insert, and are known to crack and the the shank of the joint itself is known to break as well.
