trac bar mount

Has any body drilled out the stock mounting bolts on the trac bar mount on the frame?What size bolts did you use,what grade?I have replaced everthing but those bolts and its the only thing left that I can think of that is still creaking.Help its driving me nuts. Oh yea I have an 87 cherokee with 257,551 miles on her and still goning.

i drilled out the driver side bolt, with maybe like a 5/16th's bit, i dont remember exactly. when you get the new tracbar, it should come with some new hardware, you can reuse the bolt on the passenger side if it doesnt break.

I got a new trac bar but not a mount my stock mount is fine ,I think .Just that the bolts wont tighten down any more to keep it from moveing when I turn left or right its this really bad creaking sound.From what I have heard you can drill out the stock bolt holes and put in better hardware
