TPS Update and new question?
I replaced my tps sensor and the plug in my 2000 Cherokee. When I purchased the vehicle the orginal owner for some reason put a 2004+ sensor on and the plug that matches to try to fix the p0122/p0123 codes.
Now when I have the key in the on position only p0122 comes up and when I clear it the check engine light will stay off even when driving around until the car is turned off. The airbag light does come on and off when I turn to the left.
What do you all think?

I had issues with a TPS code and I ended up removing both horn fuses and it’s heen fine for a couple years. My airbag light is always on and I need a clockspring for sure. Before I removed my horn fuses I would turn the wheels all the way to the left and the Jeep would want to stall. I attributed this to a short somewhere in the clockspring. I read that a short in the clockspring could feed voltage into the ground which is shared by the sensors or something of the nature.

I did disconnect the clockspring originally when I was trouble shooting and it had no effect on the p0122/p0123
Now that the tps is new I only have p0122 on startup I wonder if it is the clockspring
