Towing Travel Trailer with 2000 XJ

So Ive been looking at travel trailers to do some camping this coming year. Im looking into a Lite-weight 20-25 foot tow-behind. Anyone pulling anything like this? Ive towed bigger stuff with my Dodge Ram but Im a little worried about towing something 500-1500 lbs heavier than my Jeep. It has electric brakes but Im still not too sure.
Im going to install a Trans-Cooler and was thinking of doing Add-a-Leaf do deal with the added tongue weight.
Any suggestions?

do you know the weight of the trailer? i see the length but not the weight. a 20 footer should weigh about 2500lbs correct?

Yeah. Im trying to stay, max 3000-3400 lbs. because by the time my wife and two kids "move-in" Im sure its going to be 800-1000 lbs of "required equipment". I dont need a lot but Beers heavy!;)

It doesn't apear that you received any more replies regarding your question, so here goes -

I tow a travel trailer with my '04 GC 4.7HO. The trailer weighs about 5000#, so I use a weight distribution hitch (Equal-i-zer brand) and have air bags in the springs. I will say, I may be a little underpowered here in the mtns of Western MD, but when I go south and have just rolling hills, no problem. I would suggest a transmission cooler for any engine that is going to tow anything over 1000#. Just good common sense to keep the fluid as cool as possible. Also, service the transmission every 20K-25K, or more if you are in mountains.

Any other questions, give me a shout.
