Default Touch up paint

So I decided to spray paint the primered hood of my 96 classic moss green to match the rest of the Jeep..

So I ordered Mopar brand PJN moss green touch up paint..

The parts guy told me 14.00 a can..(And I almost Shat in my pants!)

i ordered 5 cans thinking I had plenty enough..Only to find out when I picked them up they were “5oz. Cans!!”

I assumed 10-12 oz. cans...Nope...Oh well..

Stop by the parts store and look for Duplicolor Perfectmatch paints. They are a slightly larger 8oz. can, and cost a little less. Not all stores carry every color.

I did some repainting on my 95 YJ that has the asme paint code (PJN). I found that it had 5-6 variants. The variants were all different shades. I never did find that color in touch up cans. A good is a really large area for spray cans. I found a paint shop that put a color reader against the paint and then they were able to get the right variant. I ended up using the purple spray gun from Harbor Freight to shoot the base and the clear. Came out great. IT's all int he prep work. The initial attempt was with spray cans and turned out terrible. A hood is a seriously large area for spray cans. Also, make sure the primer is a good quality high build primer like SEM or you are just wasting your money.
