Hi gang, Does anyone know how much difference, in inches, may the "toe in" allow with the outside edged measurements from tire to tire? I am getting some right front tire outter edge wear. I just replaced the front coil springs, that were broken, but the wear was noticed prior to the replacement. I am getting a 1/4"difference measurement between the front and rear of the right tire. The front side was the lesser measurement. I used the left front tire as a zero base.

Toe in should be between zero to 1/8"

Broken coil spring? There may be additional issues that caused the wear on outer edge of tire. Like the camber angle is off due to faulty balljoints or bent 'C' part of axle.

I understand that with the 242 transfer case than toe is zero.
For the 231 case the toe is 1/8".

Keep in mind, 1/8" toe measured at the rim edges. And 1/8" measured from the tread or carcass of tire, will be different numbers.
